Moments strung together

B. and I are celebrating three wonderful years together today. Not only is it our three-year anniversary, but it is also a (number) 3 day. Three happens to be both his and my favorite number. I think it's fitting because the number three is about creativity and self expression. It is also a number of possibility.

I went to the office for a while to do some work and was looking back though pictures and thinking about the special moments we have shared. Of course there have been difficult moments, too, especially during the last year while I was in school and at my internship.
What I saw in the pictures was a lot of joy. A lot of love. A great deal of laghter.
Before he got up this morning, I watched him as he lay sleeping. In that moment, time stood still.
There was no striving to be somewhere else, no thoughts about what tomorrow may bring. It was simply peacful. I thought of nothing else than how it felt to be there, in the quiet, to relish in the moment.
