Monday, October 8

What a nice way to start the week

Today feels like Sunday, not Monday. I suppose that's because it's a holiday. B. and I slept in this morning (and still managed to get up relatively early). Then we walked to Susan's 1500 Bistro with the dogs to have breakfast. It was the perfect walk--a little less than 3 miles. All the leaves are starting to change colors and it was crisp and cool outside. Plus, I was able to show B. the location of the office space that's for rent.

I had such a great time yesterday. Lisa and I decided to stop at Lottie's to have a drink and we met B. there. It feels so good to almost be done with school and to just sit, laugh, and socialize. The three of us were laughing so hard we hardly noticed that it got dark outside. That's the shame about this time of year--not enough daylight.

Hi - I just posted to your Mitranikaten (Kerala, India) blog. I googled Mitranikaten and your blog came up. :) I was wondering if you have any contact info for the Mitranikaten community. I was there 30+ (gasp!) years ago. Also, there was a castle type hotel place I stayed at that was situated on a cliff on Kovalum beach - do you happen to know the name of it?

thanks!

Kathy,
Were you on Pac Rim? That is when I was there as well--93-94. It is such a small world. I don't have the contact information for Mitranikaten, but I'm sure that UPS does.

Did you know Bob Jones?

Hope all is well, Elizabeth

Yes, I was on the very first Pac Rim with Bob Albertson! How cool that you went too. I don't know Bob Jones. Is he a UPS prof or someone who lived there? Maybe I could contact him if so, or just checking with UPS is a good idea. Thanks!

You went there 20 years after me...wow! Wonder how different it was.

Bob was the business director on our trip, but I think he was a participant on one of the earlier trips, so I thought you might know him.

Yes, I'm sure it was much different--and it's still almost 15 years ago for me. It's so weird to have such a connection with someone that you've never met, especially when our trips were so far apart. Good luck to you.

Elizabeth
